City - Brazos State Park State - TEXAS Country - United States
About
Residents of El Campo, Texas were forced from their homes by airboat and a portion of U.S. Highway 59 was closed after up to 15 inches of rain fell across Wharton County on last Sunday 11-21-2004. This is the worst flood since 31 years with 15 inches of rain for this area, 72 miles southwest of Houston. Both north and southbound lanes of U.S. 59 were shut down. Rainfall has fallen at a rate of up to 2? inches an hour. This picture shows Brazos State Park still under water, as of one week after the rain. (11-27-2004).
Well, I have so many photos posted, I don't know exactly where to send you. I guess the best thing is that when you have time, go to my bio page and on the left, click on the "Illinois" folder. I have many, many foliage and landscape shots there. I love my home state very much, and enjoy taking ohotos of the farmland. Here is one of a cornfield in autumn. I hope you enjoy it. Help yourself to the rest of my pics, there are enough there to keep a person busy for months. Jim http://www.usefilm.com/image/590844.html
wow... I heard there was a lot of rain down there. First image I have seen of it, though. Yes, Chicago is a very lovely city. Buy I actually live in the middle of farm country. I hope everything dries out ok, then it will be lovely in your city again.
