Thanks Roger! Actually, it does get so close, but in this case I took it from further back to get better dof and then cropped it about 50%.

Yes my zoom lens does get so close, but in this case I shot from a little farther back and cropped the photo about 50%. When you shoot too close, the Dof is very shallow. If you stop it way down, then the shutter speed is too slow and it causes blurring of the subject.
I guess that's why they are selling the 17 megapixel cameras now...
