About Is it ethical to photograph those kids and place their images in an exhibition, their parents know about the project ? collecting donations & money through photography to help poor families and neighborhoods- but I have this feeling that I might be exploiting them :(
In the sense that its embarrassing to expose their private lives

I wouldn't worry about the kids! By the time they are old enough to understand privacy and data protection laws they won't care anymore!
But its a noble cause to help these kids with your photo talents.
And its a very good shot toO!

The sepia tone does not look reddish on my monitor. It's pretty true to the sepia tone. Cheers, Andree

No such thing. I think that children greatly benefit from your involvement. Having adults pay attention to them increase their self esteem. You have inspired me to go on the street and experience meeting kids. Thanks for sharing. I love the black and white version better. The sepia tone is wonderful. Cheers, Andree

Arwa, I have no experience in this area, so I can offer you no advice. What I can say is this is a beautiful image. I love the tones you chose, and their contrasting expressions make it so very interesting, especially in this setting. Very well done, you should feel nothing but proud!

Your absolutely right!
She was looking at her mother who wanted to include her in the picture and placed her there, she was afraid of this stranger with a big fat camera in her face, which is absolutely normal for her age!
again thanx toni :)

The girl on the left was looking at her mama!
I was taking pictures of her older brother ? very sweet boy- and the mother wanted to include her baby girl!
So the young girl afraid of me as a stranger ? very normal at that age- wanted her mama!
Thank you for your comment laurie! :)

Wonderful contrast of emotions here. The boy on the right looks happy and the boy on the left seems apprehensive and maybe a bit curious. I love the tones you?ve used here and the lighting is superb. Thanks for sharing! :)

I really appreciate your comment! it did ease a lot of the stress!
Your right, they are happy in the pictures, its heartbreaking to see sad children, and it provokes the kind of emotions that I don?t want people to feel! I don?t want people to feel bad for them! I want people to help them so they can get to their full potentials as a part of our society!
good idea about keeping their names and locations anonymous!
thank you my friend!!! :)

They are still young and in condition where is not embarrassment and with permission of course `cos you captured them close enough and in there property go a head and do not worry, but be careful in your exhibition do not mention the fund for certain children like those but its about children in need, that is a delicate case here in this region. I like the different approach to your shot, the bigger one has encouragement, may be (age) and the smaller insecure enough and not confident about you and your camera, a wonderful mood and children arrangement and behavior. Super. Saeed

That's very nice of you to think about that..But if you got the approval of the parents so why worry? Leaving the ethical issues behind this is a very nice portrait..The kids are very lovely..

When the photography catch the most rare moments of life, when the photography just takes most hearty moments of the life, when the photography os able to show the innocence , when the photography reach to the Simplicity...it is the time that we can enjoy and honor this art and artist.

Beautiful contrast and wonderful tones. Happy moments of life are always good to share, no matter who is in the picture. I don't think their parents will have any problem, they will glad to see them framed.

P.S. I see now that as I was writing I was focused only on the happiness of the smiling boy. The other doesn't look unhappy, just preoccupied with something else. Interesting contrasting emotions and good title. Antonia

This is a beautiful photo -- regardless of their plight. It shows children who are oblivious to the things you are concerned about (though I don't mean to suggest they don't experience the strife). It is in the moment that they show joy. Perhaps it is in your being there giving them the excitement of the photographic moment. What is embarrassing? I see beautiful childen, rendered with the most exquisite tones and light. I hope you will be able to give them copies, as I think their mother would be happy to have the picture. The fact that you have permission makes a lot of difference to me. And the fact that you are not showing them in misery does too. Not to worry sweet Arwa. Kudos to you for your fundraising. Antonia

I wouldn't worry about it, it's your work and if the parents are ok with I don't see why not.. Good image, I like the tones.
