Great capture Jim, it is surprising that these birds are identical to the "Blackbird" over here but ours are minus the red flash on them.
I managed to see some when I was in MD last year.

I can't say I've seen a blackbird like this one before, Jim. Ours are plain black (male) and brown (female) ~ no splashes of red. Nice shot of this enthusiastic songster. Best regards, Chris

Good detail.... I tried to get a good shot of the same type of bird just yesterday Jim....no luck here. The catch eye in this is perfect, it's so hard to get the eyes to show on black birds....especially when the eye is black also.
