Some wicked cool scenery here, I have only been there one time and I was with a group that had no interest in taking in the scenery.
I think I need to go alone.
Excellent colors.

A great idea about the tourist board, however I live a long way away from these places. Thier beauty is what draws me back each fall to photgraph them again. The shot with the Barn, in the Teton mountains is almost 1400 miles away. the badlands, with the colorful mountains as well as the shot with the lake are 750 miles from my house. A long pull !!

Jim this series is just breathtaking your local tourist board ought to be paying you thousands of dollars for these !

Amazing landscape, colours and details perfectly captured.

Looking forward to the next :-)

Best wishes,
Steve

By all means call me Rafi. Almost everybody who knows me does. I'll take the liberty of refering to you as Jim.
I spent nine months at age four in Norway while my family was on flight from Nazi Germany. That was 1934 and a great deal of my personality, for better and for worth was formed during that period.
Best regards,
Rafi

another day, another place to visit :-)
lovely light Jim; like the composition as well except one thing - I would crop the image at the bottom to avoid this flowers and the shadows cast by them - I think that they really distracts the perfect view and do not compose well with the mountains in the background;
like it
regards
Lukasz

Rafi, if I may ?
Yes the USA is home for me, Minnesota to be sure. I hauled out for the Western USA 2 weeks ago, and now have returned. I am going to redo my bio. thank you for responding to my work its a great healing balm this photography. And the subject matter is all around us.
My roots are Scandinavian, on my fathers side, though the name is Danish in spelling, Grandfather was Norwiegen, his name was Christoferson. when he got to this country he say other Christofersons and thought it prudent to change.
Nice meeting you here
have a good day

This seems to be our forst meeting on the pages of "Usefilm" Mr. Chrietensen and I took the opportunity to look through some of your photos and read your bio. Of course you are invited to visit my portfolio and read my bio.
Your bio says only that you are to go on vacation, but from your photos I understand that you live in the US and your name seems to indicate Scandinavian origin. I opted to comment on your beautiful, well composed "Cedar Pass at Sunup" not only becauase of its beautiuful colors, but also because its similarity to the mountains of our southern part, the Negev, of which I attach a photo.
Thank you for your comprehensive comment on my "Alone on the beach"
Regards,
Dr. Rafael (Rafi) Springmann

Jim, you have NO idea how much I am enjoying your images! I remember all these places - and I can almost feel the air on my arms, the smell of the ground, and hear the roar of the Harleys on their way to the Sturgess Rally!
Awesome sights you are bringing us! Thank you :-)
