Whoot! now that's my kind of action....just love the color and smell of wind n' water in the air. How are the ears after all the wind? for me it goes right through from one side of my head through to the other unimpeded.....lol

LOL! Jim, I'm getting a huge kick out of reading all the comments you've gotten on this one. I grew up about 10 miles from Lake Michigan, and have come to learn that people who don't know the Great Lakes, don't "get" the Great Lakes! As far as Lake Superior goes, not only is it the largest, but it's for sure the damned coldest!! And it does have a beautiful coastline along the U.P. of Michigan, too!

Absolutely gorgeous shot!!
Cheers

Who wants reflections when you can have neat awesome sounding waves like this??!!

This is great; wow, you caught the perfect one!
Yes, it is difficult to appreciate how big they can be with nothing to compare them to. So many times I've photographed huge waves, then the pictures never look the same!

But, I can tell that this is BIG!

Great shot,
Lori :)

Yup its the largest freshwater lake in the world. Maybe better its called an inland sea. I thinks oceans and seas are salty and lakes are fresh ??

Yes Fishing is carried out all months of the year. Guys shore cast year around and charters go out all the time after May comes. There are Rainbow, Lake Trout and Coho Salmon. Since the lake is so cold the fish are great eating, firm meat great color to it and on the grill hard to beat.

Lake Superior is the Worlds largest fresh water lake. Its 1200 mile around the shoreline and I beleive near 1000 feet deep at its deepest point, I might be stretching that. from Where I am now its almost 30 mile acoss to Wisconsin.
So when the wind gets going it really can kick up. The Edmund Fitzgreald found that out.
Thanks fer the comment

:)....nope no reflections today..but a great sea shot.
Jim I know it's Lake Superior but is it salt water (ocean) or is it a lake ?
Around here we don't get no waves like this in our lakes...
This looks ocean to me.
Nice shot Jim I like this allot....I don't get around ocean views very often.
