Great portrait of Berry and an honor to his passing. My last pet to "pass", Ninja, a 35 pound cat, still appears in the corner of my eye when I walk into a room in the house. We never forget our pets! My dog, Zoe, hates to be photgraphed, but you have just spurred me on to take some more phots of the old girl. Thanks for sharing this photo with us.

Nice photo, Mark. Berry looks like a wonderful dog, it's always hard to lose them, they go too soon. He has a great smile. Nice to have such a nice photo for rememberance.

Thanks for the encouragement over my subway photos, Mark. I guess you picked them up because toy cameras are one of your things. Love this one of your dog. Our Shetland sheepdog is still young and healthy, thank goodness. We'll all miss him when the inevitable parting comes. If you'd said "Holga" rather than PS'd Yashica I would have believed you.

Hi Subhash;

I think the comments are inspired by the work itself. It's easy to see your communication in the work you produce. Good work reciprocates. Cheers,

Mark

My initial feeling was that the photo needed more clarity, more detail, more focus. But, after reading the story with it, the filter and "look" of the photo fits - it's a memory. It looks as though it is a memory...still vivid in the mind, but slightly fading perhaps. The tone lends more towards warmth and a serene, enjoyable moment shared only between you and your dog. The more I scroll up to look at the photo, the more I enjoy your "memory" as well - nicely achieved.

Thanks for your comment on my "Flatiron". You have a wonderful and moody portfolio which I will have to investigate further (my first session real session on UF today). For now I pick Berry: Marvelous shot, full of mood, presence and personality.

Thanks for your understanding, Rafi. Not everyone agrees that "real" grieving is extended to pets as well.

Sorry about your dog passing away, Mark, but she was of ripe age and the portrait you captured is an excellent dog-portrait.
Thank you for you in-depth commet on my "Memoris from Kurdistan 3."

Hi Gary; i'm glad you like this one. I have a habit of putting exposed film in the freezer and developing them later...sometimes years later.

Thanks, Jeff. It's funny about grieving. It never sunk in until 4 months after the fact. It felt great to see this photo in the roll.

A pretty cool image. This one looks like Berry is popping out at you. Your use of this filter is a good idea for this one. It fits well.
Sorry to here about Berrys' demise man.....
