About I wish I could turn back time
I wish I'd never have to see that look in your eyes
You really broke this heart of mine
Now it's time to realise it's forever goodbye

So here I am
All alone
Don't understand where did we go wrong
I can't stop crying
Can't take the pain
Knowing you won't ever be back again

And it cuts like a knife
I'm going insane
Wishing you would show me love
Once again
I'm losing my mind
But I have to carry on
We were meant to be together
Forever as one

So this is where the story ends
Gonna take some to dry the tears in my eyes
You told me we could still be friends
Now I know your promises were nothing but lies

Forever as one - Vengaboys

I wish I did, but they are Pablo Neruda?s poems. Poetry, however, does not really belong to anybody in particular, who ever feels as the poem is some how the owner; again it is as PN wrote once, ?para que tu las oigas mis palabras de adelgazan en el aire?. Which means more or less ? so you can hear them my words get lighter in the air?. Well hope you enjoy poetry as much as I can see you enjoy photography. Cheers.

OMG!!

Alex...you have touched my soul. Your words are so deep and so beautiful. Please tell me they are your words.

I like this poem for that picture... very sad.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.

Write, for example, 'The night is starry
and the stars are blue and shiver in the distance.'

The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

Through nights like this one I held her in my arms.
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.

She loved me, sometimes I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her.

To hear the immense night, still more immense without her.
And the verse falls to the soul like dew to the pasture.

What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
The night is starry and she is not with me.

This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

My sight tries to find her as though to bring her closer.
My heart looks for her, and she is not with me.

The same night whitening the same trees.
We, of that time, are no longer the same.

I no longer love her, that's certain, but how I loved her.
My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing.

Another's. She will be another's. As she was before my kisses.
Her voice, her bright body. Her infinite eyes.

I no longer love her, that's certain, but maybe I love her.
Love is so short, forgetting is so long.

Because through nights like this one I held her in my arms
my soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer
and these the last verses that I write for her.

Thanks Carol. I am not sure if you meant that I had added the blur later, but it was actually done at the time of the capture. I didn't want the wall to be part of the main subject but instead to enhance the composition.

I like how you added the blur to minimize the depth of field very cleverly done!

Larry, as follows:-

ISO 64
Shutter - 1/101

Again I cannot remember the aperture. This was taken outdoors using the reflector. We were on top of a hill with the hotel wall on oneside (the bricks) and a shady tree on the other. A main road was running by us so we used the bouncing light to reflect upon her face. Computer work was mainly tones and crop.

Judi, if I may, few questions, especially with this one, so detailed. Outdoors, open shade? ISO 64 and aperature/shutter? Did you work the image somemore in computer? It's just so very clear Judi. love it!!

Thanks so much Margaret. This was taken just before the ceremony during a nice quiet time. Even though we had a main road right next to us and lots of buildings. I was fortunate to be able to exclude them in my shots.

Ow. A splenid portrai of melancholy and sadness:I can see evry single line of woe, of pain in her face, her eyes and her hair...and what about that hand grasping the wall? As if to scrtach down the memories (stony, though) from ehr heart and mind. This pictue is poerty in itself..no need for other words. Great, Judi.

Phew!! That's a relief. Dottie, I will let you in on a little secret. The words that I include with my images, whether they are my words or not, always reflects what I am feeling at that moment in time. Therefore I only work on an image that matches my mood and the words follow. It helps me to bring out the best in my images. so I can relate to what you are saying, by all means.

Very nice work on the composition, lighting and DOF. The skin on the face seems to have lost some detail, though. Is that from downsizing the image? Beautiful model.
