Beautiful... I take pictures, because I cannot paint, so this is the only way I can capture the beauty of the world.. You are so lucky you can do both!

Great one, tim! I love the movement of the foreground lilies & how the shape they take pulls me right back into the piece. Great dapplings of red. Love the contrast you've created between the areas in sunlight & those in shadow - that works really well. Wow - it's a beauty. Janine's going to be thrilled! (well, that is if it's for whistler...) If this is any indication of what you have over there, then you're doing great!

Tim this is very beautiful, I love how the light you have created carries us through the painting and even adds movement to the water. Alison

Tim, I was admiring your image, wondering how you achieved the painterly feeling without losing detail...
then I read the about! It is nice to see this painting of yours; it it possible to see how photography influences your painting and vice versa.

Yes I am a painter as a profession. And this is one of my paintings. That is why I got into photography originally. Now I am also doing photography for it's own sake

Hi, friend, you are almost in the same situation as me - winter is crazy this year in Lithuania, so lack of material is the most important issue.
How did you make this work? Painted?
