I have been looking for an Bald Eagle saw one this year in Utah as it was headed around the hill too late for a photograph. This is nice capture. Like the close-up and its well detailed. Excellent image.

Marcus--I found your portfolio after uour nice comment on my "Swamp Branch." Your bird photos are marvelous. Since moving to the Charleston, SC, area, I have become fascinated with the birds here--especially the water birds and the raptors. My success has been modest, but I keep pluggin' away. In fact, this shot reminded me of some hawks I had photographed in the spring, and so I posted one and referenced yours. Hope that's OK.
Your gear also interests me--especially the 20D. My 10D has been very serviceable, but I'm getting a little itchy. Also that big lens looks very appealing. Does it have the IS technology? I notice you shoot at high ISO and shutter speed, but whatever it is, it sure is working for you.
