Hi Emily, sometimes i disappear from this damned city, but i have to come back :-) Great idea your H.P.A portfolio..this last your opera in "deep" black is very aggressive...i love your powerful minimalism and how you succeed to emphasize your human creatures feelings....she is a tragic queen in her tragic kingdom.
Comliments,
M

Another story hidden within, the black and white create beautiful patterns which gets broken up by the feathered boa laying crazily on the back almost seeming to want to envelop her. Perhaps it could be about passion consuming someone. Interesting piece~

Very cool! Showing emotions through the body posture. This really shows a lot - loneliness, despair, sadness, pain, suffering....etc...etc..
Not showing the face leave the imagination wide open - she could also be bent over laughing hysterically for all we know. Excellent work and very creative - the mind works with this.

In a way this is a minimalist view, if only in the sense that less is more. Not quite an abstract, but it is a very focused view, and the stark black and white works perfectly here. I like it very much.

Emily, your style is the way you talk in photos. This one has a story, remines me of a classic painting. All my best, James

Emy - this image is VERY poetic and sensual and it also has a special mood. Could fit perfectly in fashion, for those who understand that "grainy poetical" images are much more interesting than sharp crispy dito. How she hide "for us-for you" is very effectful and also relates to classic paintings as Turner, who often portraited women from the back! Which - in the matter of fact - has an effect of our emotions and and our imagination. If I could I would send you a catalogue of an Sedish clothes designer which always use a "art-photographer" for her fashions - all images grainy, poetic, sometimes blurry and just great. You made me think of both the designer and this photographer. This image is absolutly wonderful and it has also a great contrast!

Bravo Emy! :)

Jeanette
