Firstly Pat let me thank you for all your recent comments. To answer your question re are the geese tame. No, they just gather in numbers on a local lake and often fly off in small numbers whenever they think.
However, I think this shot is superb. It brings back memories of my two visits to Canada where we saw Bald Eagles in this environment. They just happen to be my favourite bird as my mothers maiden name was Eagle. Where I live we only get to see them in captivity. Not the same and that's why this shot appeals to me so much.
