About Took this snap using the Nightshot feature on my camera. Again no tripod, I really got to get one of them. Was happy with how it turned out though considering there was almost no light from this angle. Again a Usefilm night out in York photo. Enjoy!

It really has ccaught it well James - I saw you stood there trying to keep still and wasn't expecting anything this sharp or detailed. That's a very relaxed photographer at work!!!

Cheers for adding me to your friends list - as soon as I get round to paying the donor fee (no excuse really....) I'll add you and Nidge. Till then, PLEASE don't be offended!!

As I said to Nidge the other day, I try to drag Dav, and whoever else is about, out into Leeds, photo mainly till about 9 (a couple of 1 pint stops maybe) then go to Whitelocks for some real ale and a quiz.

Any time you fancy it, or even a saturday trip somewhere local, give us a shout

Cheers

Ade

Your eye needs to capture it first before the camera does the work. My tripod also works much better than holding my breath...;o)~

Thank you Marilyn. Although I must say I think its the camera who did all the work. I too am trying to master my day shots as well. I have a rather good knack at blurring a ton of pictures before one comes out ok. =)

I'm a postcard collector and have only seen this tower on a postcard. So exciting to see it "live" and to recognize it. Great night shot. I'm still trying to master day shots. lol

This is where your Sony really shines James and comes into its own.

The tower was so dark the night feature has really lit-up the tower and even brought detail up on the grass bank. i can only imagine the detail that would show if you had that add-on illuminator you told me about. Then again, if you bought that then Rose would kill both of us !!

Excellent shot :-)

Best wishes,
Steve
