I had just finished writing a reply to the wonderful things you wrote a' propos my "Variation 2" when UF died on me. That is the reason for the slight delay in my reply.
Of course I will call you Judi, but then you will have to call me Rafi, like almost everybody else who knows me, including students and some of the few patient I still have.
I was very happy with what you wrote about standing up for my opinions. You may see what happened when I tried to "please everybody" if you care to take a look at two photos I posted just the other day: "Untitled" and "Reflection in Tel Aviv". Utter chaos. So from now on I will stick to my guns, as I wrote to a UF friend when I realised what had happened. Needless to say I am grateful to you.
This time I opted to comment on your "Hand of Life". In this context I have to confess that I am familiar just with the most primitive functions of P.S. and most of my photos I post "as is".
In your "Hand of Freedom" you managed to give graphic expression to a concept and in my opinion this is the essence of art.
Please feel free to comment honestly on my photos for better or for worth, Judi.

I read with great interest all you wrote in connection with my "Variation 2" and it made me very happy to hear from you how important it was to "stick to one's guns", as I wrote a few days ago to one of my UF friends after I made an attempt to "Please everybody". You may see it if you care to take a look at the variations I recently posted of my "Untitled" and my "Reflection in Tel Aviv". I finally made up my mind to do things the way I see right.
This time I opted to comment on your "Hold of Life". In this context I have to confess that I know only the most basic functions of P.S. that are needed to create a photo like that. Be that as it may, the result is maginificent. You managed to give graphic expression to a concept and as I see it, that is the essence of art.
