About This is not a composite shot, I used neat image to clean up the noise since the image needed it im my estimation. neat image does a great job for me, but i don't use it all the time. I needed to use a slower shutter speed to blur the prop. this is also about a 25 % crop since these birds were a long way off. Other than that I like it !

Jim. You have some really great pictures of WW II airplanes. The second plane in this shot, in case you didn't know, is, I think, a very rare Bell P63 King Cobra.

Marco, no it wasn't a wargame, It was a air expo where lots of old war planes fly in for viewing by the public. they then fly around for the people to be able to see them in the air.

No they aren't top notch but it appears you do have a little idea about how tuff this is !! My percentage of rejects is really high ! All the shots I posted of this air show are around 25 % crops or even more ! To get close shots I would have had to go into the show and then i would have been on the wrong side of the airstrip for proper lighting. And stuff happens really fast. Where i was located, I could only listen for the engines then all the sudden there they were ! So like i said , lots of stuff on the cutting room floor
Thanks for your comments.

Aha, Jim's gone airborne .. haha, difficult to shoot these old tiny birds huh .. i did not even try yet with my equipment ..
Nevertheless, your pictures may not compete with the best, you still got away with sharp pictures with good detail in them .. regards, Peter

Hi Jim. Great series of old planes. Bet they kept you on your toes for a while. All lovely crystal sharp images. I'm looking forward to a compilation flypast from you.
How are you today?

Morning Jim :-)
It must have been a terrific sight. I know my hubby would have enjoyed seeing them too.

Hope you are feeling better? Yup, those stones must have hurt real bad!

Won't be around often this week - but will be checking in to see what treats you have in store for us! :-)
