Hi Gary-
the negative was a little flat so I had to push it in printing with a 2.5 filter on a forte paper, followed by a potassium feracyanide bleaching to bring up some of the highlights on the table and then a toner to drop the d-max.

Hello Everyone,
I?d like to thank you all for your wonderful comments. Sometimes as photographers we are blessed enough to be in the right place at the right time and this photo is an example of that. I took this photo in Pompeii Italy over the summer. I?d spent the day exploring the city and late in the afternoon I was seeking some respite from the heat, so how better to do so than in the shade with some gelato. As I sat down at the table I noticed a young couple sitting another table across from me. A few minutes later the young man left and the woman stayed, by herself. There she sat quietly crying as she was bathed in sun and shade. I remembered being so incredibly moved by her pain and quickly snapping off this one photo in hopes that I could share the experience with you. Once again, I?d like to thank all of you again for your comments, I greatly appreciate all of them.

Without seen the title my wife has just said it is like an image from a film of the italian "campiña".
I think the urban solitude is arround the scene of this woman whith misterious face.
