About Keith likes "normal" views of Japan. Here's one that's common enough here but you won't see elsewhere. The shrine was having a festival, and the stallholders were out in force. The yellow one on the right is hot-roasted octopus. Yummy!

Hi Roger; a nicely composed scene with lots of colorful detail for the eyes to roam around. I like aesthetic documentation too. This kind of scene is "made to order" for your panorama camera. Cheers. Craig

Hi Roger, nice street scene, very cosy and pleasant view. The widelux distortion adds to this atmosphere. Lovely shot.

Cheers,

Hugo

The stall you mention was selling good-luck "fortunes." Japanese stalls of this kind try to keep a balance--they know everybody won't have good luck, so they put a few BAD ones in there. Everyone hopes to avoid those. I've often thought that many Japanese have superstition in the place where most other people would have religion.

Well composed and super-colourful, wedged-out panorama, Roger!!
I'm wondering what the stall to the right oif the man with the bike is selling! Or are the cards spelling out some kind of message? Fascinating!
Kind regards, Chris
P.S. At least with roasted octopus everyone can have a leg!!
