About I just happened to catch a view of this vessel and was able to park my vehicle before she changed her point of sail and presented her stern. Actual exposure values: 1/640 @ f/8

Thanks for your sage comments Roger. Aside from cropping, I'm not too fond of using PS to "enhance" a photo. I guess I'll just have to settle for photos that don't "pop" (according to my son).

Well done! I can imagine what a scramble that must have been. Very well worth it. Nice contrast between sailing vessel and modern cityscape. Skie's a bit bland, but what can you do? (Some would import clouds from another shot--but I for one prefer this.)

Very nice picture Georges! Un beau contraste entre le moderne et l'ancien.

Hey George ... none the less ... a 3/4 stern shot is just as attractive ...... and presents it's own dramatic view. Great photograph George.

I like the photo - I don't like the noise.

Nice job George, and while I know you have very little control when shooting such subjects, it's too bad the other boat is cluttering the stem of the schooner. We will be having a Tall Ships festival in Newport in about two weeks, so hopefully I will be presented with as good a chance to capture one of these magnificant sailing boats.
