I love your Photo. You get to see skills across the world. I love to see hands at work. If you can take another shot of just the hands... There is so much in the hands...
See attachment...
Thanks for sharing... Peter

Excellent, Ned! It's really so interesting to see documentary photos like this, especially this great quality that you always have! Has she made all those..? Incredible! It must feel horrible to create them and then have to sell them and never see again. But I guess she would hate it more if she couldn't sell them! ;-)
I'm reading Rawabis interesting comment too! I have no idea what kind of different head/face things there are, and what is the difference between them. This one on the photo I have never seen and it looks a bit scary, like if she can't breathe!

nice colorful shot Ned.. :) I was just reading an email about how the burqu was invented...!!! apparently, in 1870, a girl whome her father wanted to force her into marrying a stranger wanted to pretend to be crazy! so she got a black cloth, cut holes for her eyes and covered her face..! then brought a white cloth, wrapped her legs and pretended to be crazy in front of the groom's mother..! when the father found out he swore this will be what she wears for the rest of her life.....!!! which later on were known as burgu and serwal..! lol

Wonderful shot Ned. I have got on similar shot from Khamis Market in Qatif Saudi Arabia but I was a little tensed to take the lady picture. I just took a picture of the basket. Your picture is much better than mine. You have managed to present the lady while she is performing such a beautiful work. Cheers Ned.
