that's tatoo on her face and fingers!
oh .. having mentioned the match on the floor let me tell you that i missed what could be a great photo .. i was to the hotel when i saw this old women. i took the pic and went up to my room. when i came down the hotel i saw her still sitting there but smoking a cigarette. unfortunately i left my camera in my room.
oh .. no .. i bought the brown one ;)

Excellent, Ned! :-)) What a great documentary photo, both so well taken and interesting! I like her mystical expression and I wonder what the colour on her face is... Tatoo? Or just painted?
So which cloff did you buy? The blue?
Ps. The cigarette in front of the blue cloffs is distracting... hahaha... just joking! ;-)

Hi Ned Ali,
This is an amazing shot! I have tried a few times to capture such an image from the streets of Iran, but have not been successful yet. Great composition and excellent timing on your release.

and that's why i felt sorry that i didn't have a little P&S digital camera with me!! i couldn't take my back pack everywhere i went.
