Hugo, thanks for the advice on emulsions. I was delighted with Superia 400 when they first upgraded it nearly two years ago. But recently they have been processing it for higher contrast, even higher saturation, and lower exposure latitude. My favourite before this, with my very contrasty Voigltander lenses, was NPH 400, and I have been thinking of going back to it... so we are in pretty good agreement (although I think Superia is fine for this particular shot)! I value very much the fact that you have chosen me as a "friend." You are also a "friend" of mine.

Hi Roger,
A very fine shot, I like the man with the cased camera on his chest. A good compromise, as you went for this shot.
Your narrative evokes a discussion about the fuji's superia 400. I can relate to your description, but for a few yens more, I think you should try the NPH or the Press 400 or 800. Much more versatile and more balanced in colours, obviously also depending on the camera....;o)
Cheers,
Hugo

Very good executed street observation. I like this scene with many goods exposured for potential customers to buy. Another choice of presentation for this image...just cropped top and focus on the tables only..but as is - it is excellent too. Regards, Rafal
