Are you sure it's the horizon that's tilted...not the lamp? Don't care anyway, it's a powerful image. I would like to see this in print, matted and framed.

I too have profited from helpful advice, as you have here. Isn't Usefilm great! Even greater that you had also seen and taken this picture yourself, without having to conjure something up by using PhotoShop. I much prefer this one. It is a really beautiful, moody, picture with a wonderful atmosphere. Almost--but not quite--monochrome. That "not quite" is rather special.

I must confess that I much prefer this to 'Sky Watch'. The way the lamp and mast leant in towards each other was initally disturbing, but the more I look the more I like it. It's also nice to see the sun in the center, and the lamp unlit - suggestive of the ship's imminent journey - from darkness to light. All in all - max rating!

I like the controversial combination of the "crisp", clear ocean and the smudgy, dirty lantern. The overall tonality with B&W domination and tiny bits of color is excellent. I also like the feel of dimension. Great work! Congratulations. Armen

So beautiful this one too! to be honest, I can't chose, because they are both great! Light is maybe more interesting here, although I found it interesting enough even in the other one.

This one has it all, Lori. Although I did like the sun blocked by the dirty glass of the lantern, I think the ray of light in this one, together with the absence of any distraction on the horizon, the atmosphere is indefinately better. It creates a very, timeless (where did I use that term before?) but foremost adventurous atmosphere. You know, Sailing off into the void, destination unknown....
In retrospect with the previous one, top notch. I really like the huge change caused by such little details.... Amaising what difference slight changes can make to almost identical photos. Thanks for sharing, Lori!
Cheers,
Hugo.
