About On the 2nd day of our descent, about 3/4 down the North Kaibob Trail, from the North Rim to the bottom of Grand Canyon, we finally reached a point where Bright Angel Creek adjoined the trail. It was such a welcome partner in the journey, providing hours of quality "soaking" time. On that day (7/8/03) when we reached the bottom it was 118 degrees in the shade, and 139 degrees in the sun (check the Nat'l records!). How do you think that creek felt?

bradley,
then this must have been taken after some "soaking"? you took your time and justly so. the result is more than pleasurable. well done!

thank you for your comment on 'prayer to heaven'. obviously we cannot anymore comment on our own pictures in a direct dialogue. well, that is called progress probably?
this is one of a large series i took last year and the creepyness very well approached me when i saw those high pointed hats covering the heads of the participants. i felt like in a time machine, back in the 18th century with the inquisition handing out friendly invitations....

Fantastic contrast of elements. Lovely water blur giving it a more than usual soothing quality. Just the right touch of light coming in from the top.

I'm guessing you were enjoying that! You need to come walking in Scotland - doesn't tend to get too hot over here! Nice shot but I think I'd crop the highlight at the top which draws the eye too much IMO. Your trademark red colours... :)
