About The complete destruction of the ancient desert town of Bam, Iran. A gruesome encounter with the forces of nature. Street after street, alley after alley, literally everything has been destroyed. The atmosphere of death, helplessness and dispair was unbearable.....

My sympathies go out to the people of Bam and this series is a tribute to the WFP.

Tragic! Reminds me of the rubble left after the great Earthquake we had here in Japan, although "only" 6,000 people died so it was not nearly as bad as the Iranian quake. I came to your portfolio because of your kind comments about that pub in Windsor Village, and was rather stopped in my tracks by these sad photos. Thanks for visiting. I think I'll have to come back later, skip these, and see some of the other good stuff you have. Sorry, but I just couldn't bring myself to "rate" this one...
