About This tribute by Maillot is a cut above most of the public sculpture in Tokyo. I love the way the Heliar lens has rendered the metal textures, and the hint of the warm marble colours in the reflections...

Truly good colors and textures of marble and bronze I suppose. Good work Roger.

Very tastefully done Roger! Not exactly your typical Japanese scene!

Tho I know since quite a lon time it's still one of the nicest female statues I've seen in my life. Very well done shot.

Fantastic,Roger! The way the Heliar rendered the sculpure with its full details and three-dimensional appearance is suberb.
Of course, the lights are perfect and that is due to your skill. Was the light natural?
I have read your article on panoramas and found it extremely interesting and of professional quality. You did explain really ALL there is to know. I have no equipment for it,unfortunately, only the Bessa and a 19/35 mm Voigtlander zoom,Nikon mount, plus a 20 mm Nikon as my max wideangles, but then I would have to stich the frames and you made clear how difficult it is. On one of my digitals I have a " panorama assist" option...but never tried as yet. Thank you so much for sharing your very valuable knowledge! Antonella

Not my favourite subject matter, but yes I agree about the metal 'patina', the lens has done a good job there.

In answer to your question about my India trip - well no there won't be a series from that trip. The Camera was still not fixed when I left for India, and I've missed a fantastic opportunity. I did buy a small pointy shooty digital, but I'm very disappinted with the result.
