About
I'd always thought that if I could ever take macros I'd like to take an insect. Well, I found I collected an ant in this recent attempt. I use quite fast film and I notice that grain is much more obtrusive in the darker, out of focus areas. Here, I've tried to smooth it out but I have mixed feelings about the effect. Comments?
I've recently bought an old canon SLR, and when digitized I noticed serious grain on dark images. Sometimes It looks great, like here on your flowers.
And you can't beat film for getting a realistic subject, (if it works). The rose on my "For Mam" is from film, the other two flowers (poppies)are digital. I think the rose is the best of the 3 flowers on that image for realism.
