About	OK, very ho-hum picture. But I was delighted to see my old friend, one of a pair of nesting herons, back after the winter. If you look VERY carefully you may just make him out. You'll be seeing him/them again!

Tho this would have been the right distance for a 800mm bazooka (for the heron) I like the pic anyway, mostly for iz's colors. Looks japanese indeed.

I think I would have tried to crop out some of the top of the frame, perhaps just below the tree line in the distance. If I hold my hand over this area then the photo feels less open and my eye concentrates on the red roof and all the lines which lead towards it. With the sky still in shot my eye escapes upwards.
