I think it's very lovely; it's hard to capture green in a pleasing way, but you have accomplished just that. Plus, this photograph has a lot of texture. The road is very calm and inviting, while the lane that juts off it to the right is intriguing and adds an element of interest and tension to the photograph. Now, concerning my panoramic photographs, it hasn't worked out yet. It's been a little difficult working with my camera. The times that I've gone out and taken them and then put them on my computer, I haven't been too excited about my results. I think I just need to work on training my eye. Thanks for writing back, it's nice to know that you remembered! Look back in a while, I might have a panoramic picture!

I like it very much, difficult to keep people interested to it probably because the green dominates most of the picture, but you don't have to be disappointed I thing you brought the best of it, all ingredients are there, great shot; and thanks for you suggestions very much appreciated;

well I think it is very beautiful, the colors, the road, and the atmosphere of an unhurried life full of quietness. I can hear the birds ...roger
for some reason roger my shots come out looking okay I am surprised myself when I see them...I am not thinking at all it is very natural and they don't know I am taking them. The 85mm lens is very very good. I do spend a couple of mins in PS with them but nothing much sometimes that sharpening technique I gave you and levels or curves. I am finding though the lens really makes the difference. If I change one to BW I do it through the lab mode. I also have a very silent mind that gives a lot of attention to what is actually happening around me I see shots everywhere but I just love people shots....rog

Hi Roger,
I think it is the vibrant shades of green which are so attactive in this picture - so typical of English landscape - I, also, would takeout the yellow lines. Thank you for your advice on panoramas - i have the Epson 925 so could indeed use roll paper - so far I haven't bothered as I thought it was too fiddly - but I might well give it a go.

I think it is an excellent photograph, as are many of your 35mm pans. They are strong and the format often seems appropriate to the subject, perhaps in some instances too appropriate. This photograph enjoys depth of field as well as the panorama, which makes it especially good. If I were you I wouldn't be disappointed by weak response to such work on this site. Here, and on similar sites, the audience is most likely to respond to the immediate impact of a hot little thumbnail, most likely featuring a pretty woman (my contention is that plenty of guys got into photography because they thought it was a way to meet pretty women) or a simplistic image. There are obvious exceptions, but it is hard to expect more in a situation where the image resolution is 72 ppi and the thumbnail is, well, a thumbnail. Your b+w also seems good. How do you find the Fuji TX1, which I presume is also the Hasselblad X Pan? If you have time, I'd very much like to know. ddmckay@sympatico.ca. In any case, good luck; I also think the picture is very good, and I appreciate the posting.

An archetypal English scene, Roger, beautifully captured by the TX-1.
It's one of those shots that makes you wonder what is around the corner!
If I'd taken this, I'd have been very tempted to remove the double yellow lines ~ fiddly, but possibly worth a go.
