Ha, very familiar sight Roger! Just don't show it to my wife. She hates when I photograph anything religious in nature. :-)

interesting photo.. I would have to agree that it is busy. but.. it may be appropriate because of the scene. Isolating parts of it would make the photo tighter and the composition better. I like it either way.

I've decided to go back to this wayside shrine and see if I can isolate one or more of the various elements I crammed all together into this shot, making it (or them) into larger and more detailed close-ups. This one may eventually be helpful in putting the isolated "bits" into their overall setting. Thanks for nudging me into doing this, those of you who felt it looked too "busy"... and thanks to those who liked it as it was anyway! (I can't help thinking this would look better in stereo... perhaps I'll try that, too.)

I like to watch all the details of this very nicely done photo, for my taste not too busy at all, it just show a piece of reality and that's what photography was invented for, wasn't it ?

Bright and colourful, if a little 'busy'.
Well taken shot Roger.
Kind regards,
Chris

A good subject , well excuted Roger , as a personal tast it's too busy as I perfer less object to capture my eyes and be a center of focus , but still a very good shot , Rehards
