Taken in a rural area of Western North Carolina. This old gas station looked to have been abandoned for quite some time. Needless to say, the pump doesn't even have a 3rd digit place for dollars.
Just as an FYI... I do have this in vertical format, and it just felt too static - obviously opinions welcome.
I like the image and find it very rich in contrasts and texture. Good contrast, very pleasing to the eye. in vertical format, is there more to the pump? or did you lose some of the right portion of the image?
I like this in b&w and very nice textures. However, IMO, more DOF would have made this picture better. (How - to define it in graphically - one side the bigger sqauare and other side smaller squares). But again, this could be just me, there maybe different opinions.
