A beautiful photograph and a tragic story. And I thought it only happened to me, but I wasn't lucky enough to get the shot before I lost my camera. Since then (1982) I've always carried an XA in addition to my primary gear.

Hi Bradley - Incredible colors and nicely composed. I understand the loss of a favorite camera. Mine was in 1983 during a raid by Sendero in the village of La Raya, Peru. I was lucky: they only burned my clothing, backpack, etc and not me. I leave the last shot from the last roll which I was able to hid in a jacket pocket when I was briefly untied and left alone. And thanks for the comments on Conwy Castle. - Mister Ken

Love that rose red colour against the sky in this majestic image. Looks like a rugged climb down. Sorry to hear about your camera, I know it hurt as much as a broken leg but not as permenant. Regards, Graham.

Splendid image! Gorgeous colors. Very well done and composed. Congratulations! I'm sorry for your lens! In Argentina we must pay higher price for them. So, I really know about your loss. My best regards!

Oh man, I feel so bad for you!!! Was it fixable? At least you've got a great shot here to remind you of the trip! Love the saturated blues contrasting with the reds of the canyon.

But the sky is awesome, doesn't that make up for the broken lens. No, it wouldn't for me either, but great picture nonetheless!

That looks AWESOME. The colors are so vibrant. I love the contrast in the sky going from black to light blue. Once again awesome picture. I'm sorry to hear about your lens by the looks of the picture it looks like it was a good lens.
