About I wanted a kinda dreamy feel and a sence of the past. The light was cloudy and from windows out of frame, but there were gas lamps above hanging in various places from the ceiling casting interesting shadows on the wood floor. Without a tripod or cable I set the camera on a half door and used the timer.

This has a very old fashion feel to it... it's great! The slight softness in the background really adds character to this image.
What was right infront of the desk? It's black and only part of it is in frame? I think that removing this piece would make the dream-quality a bit better, as the darkness of the ?(whatever it is) is a lot heavier than the rest of the image.
Still, the sepia toning, the softness, the composition... everything is very nice!
