About This gate stands in one corner of the grounds of an appartment block, facing the wrong way. I think it must be a relic of the original buildings before redevelopment. It looks really lonely and out of place...

I have to apologise for an error in the information on this one. I actually took it with Ilford XP2 (400 ISO), not Fuji Superia. I uploaded immmediately after the "Land to the Station" (which was taken with Fuji Superia) and forgot to change the information. I will correct it immediately. Sorry, Keith. In fact, I now regularly get this quality of tonal rendering from Fuji Superia using channels, so I seldom use XP2. But it is a great film... The chromogenics had appeared while I was inactive, so they were an eye-opener to me. I was delighted to be able to have them developed at my local DPE shop, and then scan and print them myself.

btw - I saw you article on the Zenitar 16mm fisheye on a different site. On the strength of some of your comments I decided that I should try one for myself. I'm waiting for it to arrive from Kiev in the next few days. So thanks for your published review it did help, the honest impression is very useful.

Hi Roger,

its not the gate which takes centre stage here, its the tree. Th gate provides an excellent backdrop to a fantastic tree. I love the way it leans and twists then opens out towards the top. Almost an overgrown bonsai.

You have also done a good job of hiding the clutter, I cansee a truck/van and a wheel but they are not obtrusive.

I particularly impressed with your mastery of tone, the range you have here is superb.

Well done.
