About It snowed the night before. No trick or treaters would come here as the house groans and moans when it is windy. The object in the bottom right is a galvanized steel tank that collected rainwater from the eaves on the roof.
Rainwater was used for washing clothes. Obviously our ancestors did not have Maytag appliances.
Interested in comments of composition, etc. I purposely did not show the extreme right of the house because there was some unsightly clutter there. Normally I would extend past the frame of a building

Just wondering why no one rated this image i like it my only problem with it is the snow nd the loss of detail.I think it could be printed darker.

I really like your cropped version, Les... what a great old house! Such character!

Les,

I like the old house and the spooky ol' tree in the yard. Just in time for halloween! I really like the weathered wood look. If you have an orange, green or red filter I think this would really be creepy with the b&w film. I think that might help break up the snow from the sky. Hey man, keep it up and quit letting your cat eat out of your cereal bowl!
Later my friend,

Russ

Ah my mentor! Thanks Heather. Throught Usefilm I am learning and I am flexible if I think the critique is valid, in my view. You are right, the original would make the viewer wonder what the intrusion was so I cropped it.
What, no comment on horizon or centering :>)
So how does it look now my friend.

I like this les. You've got a lot of detail.
I find myself wondering whats that buildign on the left, and how does this building end up on the right. I THINK what I'm trying to say is that it should either be a closer view OR show the whole building. H:)
