About The picture was during the annual hopper infestation at my inlaws farm in Texas. I placed the camera on a mower setting in the field.

there should be hope, that you post more of your pinhole results here - this halo here, in combination with the machine in the foreground, is more than surreal ...

Another great Pinhole shot here. I think you did great with your composition and cool idea to place the camera on the mower setting. I love the cloud ring in the sky...Great job on the whole image!

Terry,

I like your work as I have said. I presume you are using 4x5, with some vignetting happening. Tell me how you are printing your work. What type of paper/film are you using.
Check out my website at

and send me a regular email. Thanks...

Chris, the halo is in the negative. I no longer have this in my photoshop files. Terry

Terry, thanks for the explanation of the white lines. I'm betting the halo in the sky is just how the clouds happened to be at the time?

Russ, I misread your message. The white lines are a result of using the solarizing tool in PS. The strange
semicircular halo in the sky is what I can't explain. Terry

Russ, I have no idea why the halo is there. I've taken several shots with the sky but none of the others show the same effect.

One more time, with the attachment.

I like the darker version for some reason. I'm curious what caused the "halo" effect on either side of the part just to the right of the center. Is that an artifcat of the pinhole camera or something?

Arreymbuo, nice option. I guess I was trying to emphasize the lighting in the sky when I printed but your version shows much more detail without losing much impact in the sky. Terry
