About	Just saw this sunflower on a warm fall day after leaving my son's kindergarten. I squeezed off a few frames - some with bees, this one unfortunately did not have a guest. I liked the lighting - strong and direct, but also liked the bright yellow in contrast to the paling green and the darkened center of the flower.

What makes it so attractive is that it's cropped so close, it becomes almost totally abstract. The purple patch has a lot to do with the success of the image. It kind of pushes it over to the abstract phase.
