Has anyone else noticed that portraits have become a rarity around here! ...as well as comments on photos!! What's up? I see REALLY REALLY low volume counts on viewings and comments. Someone say something!
As for the comments, I wasn't referring to my own images as much as I was referring to others'. I think I have been pretty good with a ratio of comments left vs. comments received.
Overall, I just don't see many comments being left for anyone. The whole idea of give and take doesn't sit with me very well, but that's just me personally. I don't believe in the principle of "I will only give if I receive something in return". If you like a photo, if it inspires you, if you think you could make it better, please let the photographer know without weighing and judging whether he/she has left enough comments in your estimation.
Just my two cents, no pointing fingers, no ranting or raving...just my perspective. Thanks again Petros for your time, and I do enjoy your work as well. I will try to do better letting you know my thoughts on your work in the future.
Hi Arthur. I have enjoyed your portraits over time. Even though portraits are not my thing (I'm no good at them heheh...), I always rely on people like you to upload a beautiful portrait for me to "WOW" over it.
As for the lack of comments... Do you realise that it's been quite a long time since you've left a comment on someone else's work? This is a community Arthur. And as such, there is a give and take expectation. Many people, including me, will not comment on peoples work, unless they too are participating. And no I'm not suggesting that, you should comment on my work specifically... Just comment, and before you know it, people will take the time and comment on your work. Now I don't think that this is unreasonable. Do you?
