About This image contains a copper background texture photographed in Montreal, a mosaic sculpture photographed in South Beach, Miami, and a sunflower photo taken in France. The composite was assembled in Photoshop during May 1994 and is what I consider to be my first successful "photoart" illustration. Comments appreciated.

This is a cool abstract that makes me think of the man-machine connection, ie as in the Borg of Star Trek fame. I agree with your assessment-- this is a successful creation-- the suspension of the flowers above the green surface adds to the spacey notion-- at least to me. Nice work.

You are having way too much fun... Thought this was a bouquet of disco balls when I first looked. :-) Currently picturing John Travolta dancing with Martha Stewart............. need more wine.

A very succesful work - great abstract image. I would only use more yellow and less green in the sunflower. to give it more light

An international collage that works really well IMO. The blue/green tones contrast very well with the yellow of the sunflowers and the repetition of the different curves give an informal mood to the composition, almost psichedelic... You've played with opacity very well and a great level of detail is achieved. Only thing: there's a little straight line in the top left corner that distracts a bit, but it's a really minor problem. Regards, Lorenzo

Hello Jim
Your creations are a joy to look at. I think they should put an end to all strange arguments about Photoshop editing ( some tend to consider this not being "pure" photography) Well, a hundred years ago or so the photographers went wild with chemicals, rubber print etc. And they are considered masters.
Keep up your great work. The colours, the composition is delicate.
