About Mamas, Don't Let Your Cowgirls Drink Tequila. Photo taken at the Howling Coyote, Santa Fee, New Mexico. Three duplicate layers were desaturated, given different shades of blue and blended with the overlay filter and reveal masks. A touch of diffusion glow and the watercolor filter to boost contrast. In Navajo lore, the Blue Coyote is a trickster. Better believe it. Comments are appreciated.

a very creative image... like a dream which can only be fully understood from the one who dreamed it.

That's it exactly, Marion. I think I saw you there, but you only had eyes for the waiter :-)

Remember the seasonings? Even the mashed potatoes were made five-alarm cayene pepper. My daughter and I spent two days on Pepcid AC afterwards and still joke that the Howling Coyote really makes you hoooowwwwwwlllllll!

I keep looking at this one, Jim...such a weird atmosphere...fantastic.

Somehow I seem the recognize it...The Howling Coyote: is that the restaurant with the semi open terrace on the second floor? Very popular, very good also...
I think I had lunch there last year. I'll see if I can send you a photo I made there.
:)

Incredible dreamlike effect, this one really draws the viewer in.

Thanks Jim for the explanation. I did actually sense an entering through swing doors to this...and even the entering the Mos Eisley bar scene in Star Wars ...with slightly different inhabitants. :)

Hi Peta:

This is kenetic scuplture in the lobby of the restaraunt. There are various armatures that you can use to get the coyboys and coyotes swining -- which is what Eliza's doing with her right hand.

On the other hand, so to speak, unless you know that, I thought this rather looked as if she had just pushed open a pair of swining saloon doors and was stepping into a fantasy bar peopled by Blue Coyotes. By the way, if ever you cross paths with one of these critters, don't mess with it. See Christopher Moore's book "Blue Coyote" to find out why.

I like the almost calbot blue glass look to much of this image.
Very neat creation Jim. The coyotes are part of the decor here?

How do you think up these ideas Jim, I like the PS technique and the luminosity of this image - Richard.

really good effect with the lights - trying to work out what's going on - surreal

I like how the girl's arms and hair flow - it matches the feel of the light and the shapes in the background.
