I was pretty happy with this one. The bird is mostly out of the heavy shadow. Maybe a little soft aroun the head, but still acceptable.

I was lucky to get a few good shots that evening, but dissapionted that I didn't get a really good one with a dragonfly in their beak. They come back to the branch and eat them so fast, usually in the shade.

They are great looking birds. But, you have to be quick. They don't stick around long in the open. I found a small flock of them hunting dragonflys. Unfortunately the shots I got with dragonflys in their beak were all in the shadows of the leaves. Maybe next time I'll get a better shot of the hunt.
