This is a very interesting place for a couple of photo sessions. I recommend it in late fall or winter for maximum moodiness. I'm sure you would get some great stock there to use in your style of images.

It's a great place to shoot. There are all kinds of interesting bits of old buildings strategically set up all over the grounds. At one time the owners of the grounds and the Inn were art patrons and ran a sort of retreat for artists and sculptures.

This place has a very interesting history. The "classic looking" sections of old buildings were saved from demolition destruction when new skyscrapers were built in downtown Toronto. The large sections were arranged as a sculpture garden over a large area. Very photogenic placements.

You would love this place (Guild Inn) to use for a backdrop for some of your "fantasy" style images. It is perfect for that sort of thing. Maybe I will try something later.

I don't think volcano ash would be a problem for this. It has survived quite a few years of Toronto smog and sub zero temperatures.
