This little guy was a great find in the woods. He was very cooperative as far as posing goes.
He was originally in shadow, but when I moved he never took his eyes off of me. I started moving in a circle around the tree he was in and that's how I managed to get the nice light in his eyes.
He never did fly away for an action shot. So, I just left him alone. I've been back a few times since, hoping to see him in the area again, but no luck.

Coming across this little guy in the woods made my day! I didn't care if I got another shot in a week after all the good ones that came out of his little posing job.
If you get a chance check out the one before this where he is hiding behind some snow.

I've seen your images. For these little guys, it takes a lot of patience and a little luck to find one. I walked right by hime the first time. I'm sure I've walked right by many other great opportunities in the past. :)
