Okay... I think it's about the photographer's relationship with aspects of his younger self that are no longer part of his current existence. You'll see that the bartender is fitter and younger looking than the patron. The fact that he is also transparent means that whatever he represents has faded away (youth? freedom?). The downcast look of the patron and the fact that he is not making eye contact with the bartender suggests that he is saddened by whatever it is that he has lost, but unwilling to address the problem directly. The younger self, on the other hand, is staring directly at the patron, in effect calling to the older self.

Oooh... damn... Art Appreciation 101 'r' Us...

Good technique and interesting interplay between the two figures. What does this image say about the subject and his relationship with himself? As Minor White would say: "What is it about? What ELSE is it about?"

Very cool effect. I really like the eye contact the server is trying to get from the patron as he stares off blankly. Excellent perspective.
