I find it very authentic, Dave! The bright yellow of its head is surely an eye catcher, as is the good sharpness of the details of the bird. But even more I find the subtle separation between the foreground and the background! The small branch on which the bird stands seems generate such a good feel for the distance to the background fields!

It sure looks like a large bird, never seen one here, typical of blackbirds though, they love the marshes. This one perched on a marsh looks super, and looks like it is checking you out too. Looks like the Tcon got you pretty close. Colours are very nice, excellent job Dave.
