hmmmm, actually no I had not but I am going to try. It may be tough because I am using a light tent (small one) and since I don't have the lights on the outside but instead using a speedlight my space gets limited because I have to get the flash inside of the tent but perhaps if I use less marbles I may be able to do it. I am going to try :) Thanks AJ!

A wonderful hi-key effect, but where the strong colours still stand out. This is excellent.
This is not a critique, but just a thought - did you consider a version where the marbles at the bottom were not cut? The reason I ask is because I like the way the marbles on the other "edges" appear to merge into the background.

impressive result... common crystal balls BUT because of the way you 'use' the white, the result is amazing... I believe something dear Julie, when a photographer can take a shot from something so common, uninterest and can put some thoughs, some ideas about HOW I can make that interesting, then that photographer has BRAIN and he/she know how to use it... my congratulations dear Julie... that is not a "JUST the click" photo... bravo!

Yes dear Nicki, they are marbles. I used to play with them as a child as well. Used to love it. Might take these out to the park and play sometime...haha. The exhibit was a lot of fun, I got great feedback,it was nice :)

I shot this inside of a light tent dear Michele, I love my light tent...haha. It is a fun "toy" to have. I was very upset to find out yesterday that my teacher is leaving NY :( so I am actually taking a break from classes this summer and fall but will probably take studio lighting in the winter. I have a few projects I have come-up with to work over the summer so I will try not to miss school too much. Our "graduation" is the exhibit we had last night and I made my teacher say I was his favorite...hahahhaha, I am sure he said that every other student as well...hahahha!
I feel humbled to see such word(admiration) from you dear Michele, it means a whole lot to have a great photographer like yourself admire my work. Thank you!
