About This shot was taken at Enoggera Reservoir in Brisbane on my first outing with my new camera. I sold my ND grad filters and haven't replaced them yet so the exposure was quite difficult. I used a B&W 6 stop ND (Full) filter to record motion in the sky. Its technically not a great image but I love the colours in the sky and viewing the image reminds me of how peaceful it was.

Hi Greg, there are 3 filters I like to use for landscape photography. Obviously ND grads are essential, polarizers and solid ND filters. Solid ND filters are great not just for inducing motion blur in water but for allowing colour to spread in a sunset image. For example, my photo of Lake Baroon at sunset was only a small glow on the horizon but with a long exposure the orange glow spread right to the top of the frame.
Regards,
Collin.

I like it. I also like the fact you give all the info on your settings. I am in the process of buying a few filters to play around with so your info is helpfull.

Serious? That is surprising! The only thing I can think of is perhaps nudes are a limited market. Whilst most admire them they may not hang them in there home. I don't know, I hope things pick up for you. From what I could see they looked great, tasteful, well produced images. I'd come and have a look but I've moved to Brisbane.
Regards,
Collin.

You're right sunsets can be photographed without ND grads, but if there is foregound and you don't use ND grads it will be a silhoette.

Collin.

Thanks Reza! I just need to buy Neutral Density grad filters again. I wish I hadn't sold mine, its too hard to expose sunset without them.
Regards,
Collin.
