Thanks for your observation, Rajib. The exposure is based on flash which synchronizes at 1/250. The sun is not bright enough here for 1/1000 at f/5.6. I think that f/5.6 would not be enough depth of field to catch a flying insect in focus, in my experience. Don't forget, for shots like this the focus is usually manual. Higher ISO and higher shutter speed for ambient light may be possible but with loss of quality.
