Great Sharp Macro Image Megan, Looks like you have pushed the exposire alot in Photoshop though. Do a search for digital delux toolbox on the internet. They are a series of noise reduction Photoshop actions that are free to download and really quite effective at smoothing out alot of noise without losing the detail in you shots

An excellent picture. Very nice close-up. I think the grain that the others are refering to is noise. It happens with cameras of 5 mp and less. It usually shows up in pictures that are a little underexposed. Are you using Photoshop. You might try the noise filter to try and help reduce this. Don.

Very nice shot, Megan! IT is grainy, as others have mentioned, but seems to work very well with this image. The petals look like brush strokes.

megan..this is a nice shot.. and as i said in the past, you do have an issue with grain.. as you must have used higher ISO level settings.. check with Sony and see if you have ways to reduce noise levels.. please rate my latest.. http://www.usefilm.com/showphoto.php?id=134852 "fire in the Pacific" .. you will love it.. ciao.

You've read this comment before probably, but it DOES look like a painting. I don't believe I've ever looked that closely at a tulip. I like this.
