Bingo Luis! One of the main reasons for the series was exactly light and shadow in scenes that contain mountains, since most of the time the mountains are presented in glorious light only. Of course they look great this way, but the games of light and shadow on them are not less good looking. So I tried some shots where the mountains look as if they were defined by light and shadow.
Thank you very much for the comment and cheers!
Nick

If you're trying to combine light and shadow...you got it. I've been looking at your mountain series and they're are impressive. Beautiful.

Thank you very much for the nice comment, Elisa.
That cable seems to evolve to a big question on this image, doesn't it? Well, it seems to be that it is not of absolute necessity, though it does add some tension to the image. It is interesting to see that the presence or absence of such a small element can create two different images.
Anyway, let's capture the moon as long as its distance to the earth remains in the current range. In about 10 billion years it will be twice as far from the earth, so provided that the universe will exist that long, we must hurry up! ;-)
Have a nice weekend,
Nick

Hi Nick! This is such a breathtaking sight ... makes me think of how the magic moon is constantly moving farther away from the earth. Wonderful light! I like it as it is, with trees and the cable :)

Yes, the title does not help very much to include that cable as a part of a violated mountain, indeed. I should have name it differently. The thing is that I was not aware of the difficulty to see that this way without any appropriate title, so obviously I took the visibility for too clear.
Have a nice day,
Nick

Oh yes, it works well with the cloned-off cable. I see what you mean about manīs violation of nature, but the title implies something else which is why I suggested this. Sleep tight Annemette

Thanks a lot for the in-depth going comment, Andre!
So here I really have to do with the conflict "lookings vs message", I guess. Though I am in general biased towards the message, I have to re-think about the possible ways to keep the message and still improve the looks.
Hard job to do but it is worth doing.
Thanks again and have a nice day,
Nick

Hi Nick, This time I have nothing really original to say except to agree with the other comments by all. The trees are fine because it is nice to have some frame of reference for the size of the mountain. And also the removal of the wires makes a big difference as far as the natural landscape feeling goes. But as you say, that may not be the point. ( You could have titled this one "Violated 2". The lighting and colours achieved make it a nice "Moonrise" image. Andre

Thanks a lot, Mike!
As I already said to Annemette, it is not so easy to leave that cable out, since it is the cable of the lift which inherently belongs to the scene of a mountain that looks majestic and at the same time is "violated" by human activity.
I did attach the cloned image to my answer to Annemette - it does look better, but the message is no more the same.
Best wishes,
Nick

Thanks a lot for the nioce detailed comment Annemette!
The wire is the cable of the lift and it really belongs to the scene, as the series about Mt. Pilatus also shows the "violation" of nature. It fits in the subject but it doesn't fit optically - so what to do?
I attach the cloned image. It does look better but the message is not the same any more.
I think a better solution would be to let that cable be even more visible.
Best wishes,
Nick

This is excellent. the trees allow you to see how steep the mountain actually is. Only thing that distracts me in this shot is the wire on the right!

Dear Nick The trees provides perspective, so we have a chance to see the size of the mountain, so I wouldnīt crop them away. It looks like a slope? A pity with the wire in the right. I would erase this/clone it away, but the morninglight and composition is beautiful with the moonīs colour resembling almost the light on the snow. Best wishes Annemette
