generally i use a Lee 4x6 .6 ND filter. I get them from "The Camera Store" in Calgary on 11th st. Once i started to use ND filters for shooting landscape I never take them off....they are imperative to get a balanced shot with good skies. But in this case I am using a .9 ND filter because my .6 flew out of a window on a helicopter near the Columbia Ice Fields. Good thing that happened near the end of the trip or I would not have gotten as good a shots as i did and wasted the $800 on just a scenic tour.....lol...
Oh I would not advise getting a Coken filter as they are much more cheaply made and the filters shoot a much cooler image plus the ones they sell locally are to small and will vignette in many situations

Perfect exposure. How do you keep your skies froming blowing out and still get the fantastic colours down below? Do you use an ND filter?
